With the increasing interest in Gospel music, Masterpiece Christian Records receives numerous requests and demo products from individuals and groups hoping to become part of our family of artists. We appreciate each submission received. It is our desire to personally respond to each letter, however , this is becoming more difficult as our label presence continues to grow and submissions increase. In addition our small but dedicated staff must optimize finances and time to best support the artists currently on label. Countless hours and dollars are spent to ensure the public is aware of our label and more importantly, the artists and their projects. This cost continues to increase, limiting dollars available for developing a new, unknown artist. We are always looking for talented artists who have established a strong ongoing ministry and are committed to their calling. These artists must perform live and have visibility in multiple communities. This is essential in the marketing and sales of Gospel music.
When contacting our company please consider the above criteria. Include information about yourself, your music credits, tour schedules / performances, news articles, television and/or radio appearances. Ensure the information is professionally presented and represents your BEST efforts. We will try and respond within 6 to 8 weeks from receiving your package. Sometimes it takes longer. We listen to EACH project for music style, lyric content, originality, and ministry content. For those we feel strongly about we get feedback from radio DJs, general public, friends etc. Also the music must be viable to the Masterpiece Christian Records target audience. We have received some outstanding projects, however, at this time, do not fit in with our market base.
In conclusion, NEVER measure the success of your ministry on securing a label contract or becoming "famous". Remember your ministry is a gift from God. He knows your destiny and will provide the RIGHT individuals and resources for you to achieve your goals. Participating in the church or community choir, playing an instrument for a local band or singing group can all be important forms of ministry when done for the Glory of the Lord!
